Do I Need To Buy A Digital TV?

I have had several friends ask me recently about Digital TV's and Digitial TV Tuners and whether or not they should be buying one.  Their concern and interest has developed from recent Federal regulations that will require broadcasters to switch to digital from analog systems within the next couple years. 

It is my belief that there is no need to jump and run to purchase a digital tv or digital tv tuner.  My reason is simple.  Most of us are subscribing to cable or satelite services... and already have a digital tuner through those service providers.   If you are a subscriber of Comcast, Time Warner or any of the other major cable companies, you likely are already paying a monthly fee for a digital tuner so that you can access pay per view programing and other services.  If you are a subscriber to Dish or Direct TV... you are also already using a digital tuner.

So... in simple terms... there's just no reason for you to spend any money for a digital tv or tuner.  Save your money and buy something else.
