)Disney antenna toppers are one of the hottest selling trends in Disney collectables, in the stores, and throughout the parks. Disney is constantly releasing new antenna toppers in the classic Mickey Mouse icon shape & a myriad of character followings in order to create variety and add to the phenomenon of antenna topper ball collections. The toppers gain high collectability and have rapid turn over times, making some toppers retired quickly and gain a higher market value. All this combined makes these items hot and highly desirable.

Disney antenna toppers are produced and released at various times throughout the year. Each Disney park has their own, unique to them, set of toppers. When buying an antenna topper if it is from a Disney Park, the Park name will be listed on the topper. For example if you are purchasing a topper from Walt Disney World it will say that on the topper, DisneyLand Resort, DisneyLand Tokyo, and DisneyLand Paris all have their own marker on the reverse of their toppers. Topper which inevitably do not have park names on them are those from Epcot’s World Showcase as well as Disney Store or affiliated companies who also produce antenna toppers.
When Disney antenna topper balls first came on the market they started out in varying prices from $2-$3.00. Over the years their prices have escalated more than 200%! With their collectability increasing Disney has set out to produce new and never seen before toppers. With each new Disney movie, Disney releases a topper specifically for the movie. Some of these toppers are sold in Disney stores, others are isolated to ONE park only (most often DisneyLand Resorts in California).
When purchasing an antenna topper as a collector, you want to purchase a new antenna topper if at all possible. Used toppers have lost all value due to wear & tear on the topper itself. Some rare toppers have sold for over $150.00 on eBay auctions – look for these toppers to be listed around the Holidays.
If you are in need of a certain topper – ask a Disney antenna topper seller. Most likely if they don’t have it they can obtain it for you or send you to someone who does have the item. Often Disney antenna toppers sellers are also collectors and inevitably will have toppers that they have not listed in their stores that they would be willing to sell or to put up on auction for you.
