Just a quick guide in case you are looking for the Dior Samourai 1947 (released by Dior to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of the House of Dior).

There are several models of this bag already available, the knot bag and woven leather bags.  For Spring there is a suede version available (viewable on the Christian Dior website).  Retail is $3600 to $3900.

There have already been several bags listed on ebay.  Most of these were definitely counterfeit.  I would not rule out getting an authentic one this early on ebay, but it is not very likely, so be careful.

Things to check:

Check the label carefully.  In the authentic version, it is stitched around the outside; on the fake it is not.  Check the font on the tag; it is incorrect on the counterfeit version.

Check the Louis XVI portrait tag on the front; on the counterfeit version, the font is incorrect and the writing is vertical instead of horizontal.

Tag on the counterfeit bag (by the way, any time you see a Dior bag with a sample piece of leather attached along with the price tag, that bag is counterfeit).

Check the lining.  On the authentic version, it is woven and you can see the weave, whereas the counterfeit typically has a shiny (printed) lining.  Be careful,  I have seen counterfeit bags with a woven jacquard lining, but it does not have the diagonal weave of the genuine lining.  Rather it appears nubby, as if composed of little stitches.

There are already counterfeits out there, so be careful.
