- The vending machine door should always be powered down while removing and installing harnesses, coin mechanisms and/or bill acceptors. Failure to so can cause damage to unit(s).
- Switch settings need to be checked on every service call and/or during prepping of vending equipment.
- Vending equipment needs to be test vended on every service call and during equipment set up.
- The BA-30 can be used in 110 volt and 24 volt MDB applications.
- A TRC6800, TRC6510, TRC6512 and TRC4510 can be re-taught if there is poor coin acceptance.
- If you replace just the coin acceptor part of a TRC6800 or TRC6510 coin mechanism the unit must be re-taught.
- If a VFM-3 is used, switch 7 must be on. When switch number 7 is on it allows the bill acceptor high or low level connection (otherwise the bill acceptor will be single price).
- Cleaning on any acceptor should be done with alcohol.
- The magnetic-head of a bill acceptor should only be cleaned in one direction (north/south).
- You should never carry a coin or bill acceptor by its cord.
- Failure to use the proper harness can cause issues with the vend process that may not be noticed at the time of the service call.
- The make of the bill acceptor determines what interconnect harness you will use.
