This is a good solution for a satellite radio that is portable.  It could be better, thats why I'll say good.  

I bought this radio off ebay from an XM authorized reseller for 135$ and I will say for the price I paid, I got a BIG bang for my buck..  I bought it to replace my 2 year old Roady which was a nice little radio, but I need the portability of a battery operated device since I am constantally moving from vehicle to vehicle as I am a local truck driver now.  

WHATS IN THE BOX:
the paticular kit I got was the: SA10113 and in the box is
-the radio (of course)
-a rechargable battery
-a full function remote control
-a protective case
-an AC adapter
-a 12 V cig plug
-a home cradle
-a car cradle
-a home antenna
-a car antenna
-a cassette adapter
-a belt clip
-a sticky dash mount
-a screw mount
-some cheesy headphones and AV cables

as you can see this is a pertty complete package.  The only thing I saw lacking was the clip antenna and the windshield mount.

NOW OUT OF THE BOX! LETS SEE HOW THIS BABY DOES!

putting it together was very easy, just snap the battery in this baby and turn it on..  It has a built in antenna which does quite well outside, but if you want to listen inside while wearing it on your belt, forget about it!!   You will have to use the home kit which is included.  you have to put it on the BASE and connect the power and antenna TO THE BASE!!!  You can run it off the battery on the base as well.  
Which leads me to my first gripe: to hook up one of the INCLUDED antennas, IT MUST BE ON A BASE!!  The unit has a special smaller antenna jack, much like on a wireless phone, that uses a 30$ antenna which clips to your body.  Using it with headphones is pertty good, however in some cases, even with the volume up all the way, it is not loud enough to use in a very noisy environment like a warehouse (you will have to use the MYXM mode as there is no signal indoors)

The display is HUGE and very easy to read.  It has a bright white LED backlight which lites the display very well and every button as well.  on the display, you can display a stock ticker or sports info, as well as your channel, artist, and song.  A cool feature about the display is you can reverse it from negative to positive which means you can make the background black and characters white and vise a versa.  One thing i might add, dont peel of the plastic coating off the screen as it protects it from scratching.  A small gripe: dust can get under the screen but it is only noticible if you are super picky like me :)

In the car or truck, this unit does VERY well.  The magnet mount antenna is VERY small and has a very strong magnet that mounts firmly to your roof.  It also has a long cord so if you want to mount it to the top of a sleeper truck, it is possible.  AGAIN!!  in the vehicle, if you want to use the provided antenna you MUST USE THE BASE that is included which adds some bulk to the unit.  It comes with a wide variety of mounts so this part is flexible.  I was disappointed that the windshield mount was not included, so I use the vent mount wich works very well, though removing the vent mount can be very awkward.  The reception in the vehicle is very well, It only fades out sometimes for maybee a second after going under a bridge or if there is a huge building blocking your view of the sky (this is expected with ANY satellite service not a flaw)   You have 2 options for connecting it to your radio, either wirelessly thru the built in FM transmitter or thru your tape deck.   the tape deck provides better sound however.. The sound on the fm transmitter can be adjusted, but not much, you will still need to turn up the volume on your car radio a little bit. but other than that, the sound is good.

COOL FEATURES!!!

MY XM!!!!  It is basically like a built in VCR in your xm radio!!!  If you like what you are hearing press the MY XM (record) button twice and you are recording in realtime what you hear!!!   OR you can program it just like a DVR or VCR to record your favourite programs!  THE CATCH ABOUT PROGRAMMING!!! it MUST be on the home base connected to AC POWER and the HOME ANTENNA!!! and be in the off position! In other words, you cant listen to your MYFI while it is in the "program" record mode.    It can store around 5 hours of content,  BAD SIDE OF MY XM!!  while listening to your recorded material, you can SKIP from track to track and pause but YOU CANNOT rewind or fast forward.  Another big drawback, you cannot erase single tracks, you have to clear out the whole memory.

BATTERY LIFE:
is about 5 hours.  Which is pertty good for a satellite radio reciever.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS RADIO:
-VERY portable, battery or AC/DC powered
-Kit came with a wide assortment of accessories
-The ability to record programs and songs to listen to later
-By pressing a button you can save the song title so you can buy it off the itunes music store or at a CD shop
-Good sound quality
-EXCELLENT performance in a vehicle
-full function remote control
-VERY well priced


WHAT I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT THIS RADIO
-You must use the base to use the provided external antennas
-in the XM2GO mode, you cannot rewind, ff, or edit the recorded material
-unless connected to the home antenna, it is useless indoors
-Battery life could be better
-volume control could be better

THE BOTTOM LINE!!!!
This is a GOOD radio if you are looking for a portable!  for just over 100$ you cant go wrong.  I give the XM MYFI a 4 out of 5 star rating
