I read today in the newspaper, that Dell has had serious problems with a laptop battery that is used in their Dell Latitude D620 Laptops.  As a Dell Latitude user, I thought, it would be important, to advise all of you about the situation.

The Dell Latitude is the D620.  The Laptop, there is nothing wrong with it, per se.  It is the battery that slips inside to make it run.  The battery was made by the Sony Corporation.  And installed on the Dell Latitude Laptops starting in April 1, 2004 and runs upto July 18, 2006.  The battery, overheats, and causes several problems, in as much, Dell has put out a major recall, on the battery.  Please check to make sure, that the battery you use in the Sony Corp.  battery.   And it was for your Laptop.

All Sony Corp.  batteries for the Dell Laptops,  have caused serious burns to the users, as well as property damage and loss of data, on the laptops.    If you are one of these owners, and do have the Sony Battery in your laptop, please contact Dell, for a replacement battery. 

It cannot be stressed enough, to do so, as the user of the laptop, maybe seriously injured.  And if you use the laptop for business, and have vital information that cannot be replaced, then it is advisable for you to check your dell laptop battery.
