Regaurding Dell's newer line of laptops; they are bad,bad,bad. The customer service that Dell provides is horrific at best. Do NOT buy a new Dell laptop!! Ok,here is a quick snapshot of what I have experienced. I recently bought a reconditioned M800 series w/15" screen. It worked ok until I loaded some software (MS Office,etc.). It started crashing occasionally so I called customer sevice. It was at least a 20 minute wait only to get someone with very little IT experience. So I decided to do a recovery back to the last known good condition. Well, this helped but it still was glitchy. So I tried to return the BEAST and they said it was out of the return period from the date it was ordered online. But in reality it was within the return time from the date it was recieved. Anyways my credit card company was happy to assist with the return. Today I met a buisness owner at a local shop with an experience much worse than mine with a new Dell laptop.He told me that his drive crashed and that he was on the phone with Dell for about 3 hours. Aparently I have heard that cheap hard drives are used in thier laptops, who knows? The older Dell lattitude was an industry workhorse but those days are gone.............
