There is a big difference between the 2! For you sellers out there, remember to always implicate signature confirmation for all sales orders or combined orders that equal $250 or more. Delivery confirmation is scanned at the post office when you ship something out. When you provide buyer with this tracking # it appears that the item has been accepted by the post office and when it is delivered it is scanned again saying that it was delivered on the date and in the zip code to which you sent it to. If you go to the post office and send with signature confirmation it is again scanned and online it reads accepted by post office and when delivered it reads online the day time and address and who signed for it. Now if you use Paypal to mail out Delivery confirmation it almost never reads accepted when you put it our for delivery, causing buyers who automatically get the tracking number to panic, especially new buyers. The only time these are scanned is when they get to the home, hence the 18 cents it costs to do it compared to the 55 cents at the post office. And when you send it signature confirmation off paypal it is again only scanned when it gets to the house with the info as stated in last line. If you print from Paypal and then drop off at post office, they're not supposed to scan it in for you and in NYC they never do. IMPORTANT READ THIS Be careful how you affix label to packages. Many of you use adhesive labels that print from your printer. And the others "including myself" print it on paper and tape it on with clear packing tape. When applying it on with clear tape be sure you lay it smooth over the bar codes otherwise it wont scan when the carrier scans it and you can have a problem. Remember, over $250 always use signature confirmation! If you don't there are some dishonest buyers out there that will see you sent it non signature and they will file claim with Paypal saying "I didnt receive the item" and sadly they will win! So they got a refund and kept your item, double whammy for you! Please email me through eBay if you have any questions about selling or want some advice. Mine is always free! I am a reseller with an Ebay Store in NYC. I love helping others do well on eBay! Thanks for reading and if you've at all found this helpful please say so below.
