OK people, there are auctions out there for deere 425's that are not legitimate!
If the price is in euros or is way too cheap for what the tractor is, beware! Scammers have found that lawn and garden tractors are a rich source of people who will send them money without a lot of work. Never fill out a contact form in an auction ad, or use an off eBay email address, use the official ebay contact a member system. If it seems like a too good to be true deal, do not send money! If you just have to find out if it might be for real, use the ebay message system and DO NOT let the seller see your email! There is a check box you can use that hides your email address from the seller, use it! That way they cannot try to steal your account. Be sure any eBay mail you get uses your unadvertised user name. Only offer to pay on pick up. You will never hear a word back if you suggest that! The scammers picked on Deere 455's for a long time but now have moved on to other models as well. I like to buy and sell on eBay and do these guides trying to help keep ebay safe for all of us. The only thing I get out of this a guide rating, please rate me if you like what the guide says. Ziesler.
