Decorating your home thru Scrapbooking
This is the lasted fad and it's brilliant. Most scrapbookers spend many hours creating beautiful scrapbook pages. My children love looking through our books and that's what keeps me motivated to scrap all our pictures. However, we have started taking some of those precious pages an using them an decor in our new home. Each one of my three children have their own scrapbook page framed in a 12x12 wood frame. They love it and those who visit love it. Most people that visit our house don't get close to looking in our scrapbooks, but they all see our walls.
Besides putting up scrapbook pages with pictures, I use the supplies I have to create different types of art. I recently started a project with canvas. I painted it with acrylic paint and covered part with scrapbook papers that coordinate with the room's color pallet. I use die-cut letters and other embellishments to decorate the canvas. It's really a work of art and made mostly of scrapbook supplies. I even put little rub-on sayings on decor around the house. The effect is one-of-a-kind art, which I've only had complements on and instead of just have those beautiful pages sitting in a closed book, they are on display. And, we can easily change out pages.
We also make our our Calendar each year, so we see out pictures and then put them in our scrapbook. These are also perfect for gifts. This all works well if you love to stamp or make cards. These talents can be used to create precious art pieces for your home as well.
Shopping for everything you need is as easy as one, two, three with eBay. You can search for the 12x12 frames, and all the embellishments you need. I love to get a mix of items in lots, which save money by buying in bulk and on shipping. Plus, you don't have the hassle of picking out hundreds of items. Paper is the best and always need for any good scrapbook project.
