Many people buy vintage ads to decorate.
They look wonderful framed and hung on a wall. Whether it be in your den, your garage, your kitchen, or even in your place of business - they just look great. Many restaurants now decorate with framed ads. Some business offices also use framed ads, displaying products their company made back in the old days.
Vintage ads were usually only published once. They were changed regularly, as many magazines were published weekly or monthly and a new ad was needed for each publication.
Collecting & displaying ads can be fun! With so many ads to choose from, many people specialize their collections. Some collect certain ads done by popular artists. Some collect food ads, while others may collect automobile or truck ads.
We now think of the Big Three car manufactures, but most people don't realize that at one time in America, there were almost 100 automobile manufacturers! That was back in the 1910's-1920's. Many of these manufacturers dissapeared by World War I, many more by the great depression started by the Stock Market crash of October 1929. And of course, many more dissappeared after that.
Ads can be given as gifts to be cherished! Sometimes someone worked at the place in the ad, lived in the town shown in the ad, or you may even find an ad with a family member or family business in it!
No matter what your interest, an ad looks great framed and hung!!
