This is a 8-part collectors' guide to pins offered for Harley-Davidson's 100th in 2003 (complete with descriptions and pictures).

PART 1 shows all sterling silver 100th pins sold by Harley dealerships.

Harley sold 4 different sterling silver pins for the 100th. Their 100th collectibles were announced and released in phases. Phase 1 and 2 were limited edition numbered pieces. There were 5,000 of each made.

Phase 1: 100th Anniversary Sterling Logo Pin (97914-02v)

Phase 2: 100th Anniversary 100 Sterling Silver Pin (97999-03v)

Phase 3: 100th Anniversary Sterling Silver Odometer Pin (97948-03v)

Limited edition based on dealer orders. Because of the popularity of the previous phases, dealers ordered a LOT!  This pin was not numbered and was nowhere near as popular as the first two. Due to the huge amounts ordered, you can still often find this selling for well under the $40 retail price.

Phase 4 (name) (96861-04v):

Some people incorrectly claimed that the Phase 4 pin wasn't a 100th anniversary pin since it was a late release, didn't show the 100th logo, and had a 2004 part number. However, it did have 2003 on the front and the back read "H-D 100th Anniversary".
