We bought our 12 year old son a DeMarini rogue baseball bat about 2 months ago. The DeMarini bats come with a 1 year warranty (Save your reciept!!!). After 2 months, this bat cracked from the barrel of the bat down about 5 in. We took it back to the national named sporting good store where it was bought from, only to be told, it would have to be sent back to Wilson Sporting Goods. We contacted Wilson via their website and they provided a return number that had to accompany the bat. We had to ship the bat back to Wilson/DeMarini at our expense. In the mean time, our son needed a bat for a winter camp. We checked at a second hand sports store and were told that they no longer accepted or sold any DeMarini Bats because almost all of them had cracking issues. The bat was returned in record time from Wilson but with a note saying that this was our "one time replacement".. No where on the bat does it say that the bat can only be replaced one time. Very deceptive advertising by Wilson/DeMarini. So buyers beware.
Just an update....The second bat lasted about 1 month before it took a 1/2 baseball size deep dent in the barrel. We were told that DeMarini bats should not be used in weather below 40 degrees and that the bat should be turned each time it is used so that a weak spot in the metal does not occur. I doubt many kids would take the time while up at bat, to make sure they turn their bat. No refunds or trades on this bat. We ended up buying an Easton that has worked out well and has had none of the problems the DeMarini had.
