Boston Red Sox fans rejoice, help is on the way and his name is Daisuke matsuzaka. Matsuzaka has proven himself over the years in the Pacific League as one of Japan's greatest pitchers. Matsuzaka throws a variety of pitches ranging from a 96 mph fast ball to a spliter, change-up, screwball like pitch and a slider but his greatest asset is the fact that he can throw all these pitches with nearly identical form and delivery.

Many American's got their first exposure to Matsuzaka during the world baseball classic in 2006 where he won MVP honors. As a Boston Red Sox Matsuzaka is expected to make an immediate impact on the team. Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of this potential all star during the 2007 season.
