Like your wardrobe your skin care is seasonal! Your skin gets flaky and dry in the winter so we must find ways to keep it soft, supple, dewy and moist. Here are some great ways!

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
Skipping moisturizer in winter will cause your skin to crack. Your skin needs to be moisturized at least one time a day, Here are the top four areas that need your extra attention in winter.

1. Your Face

The key here depends on your skin type. If you have dry skin use a moiturizing cleanser followed by an emollient or oil based moisturizer. If you have combination skin use a gel formula for your oily areas and a heavy cream for your dry areas.  Try Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion your skin needs this drink expecially in the cold winter months. 2. Your Lips

Licking your lips to moisturize as we all know will make them horribly chapped. Lips retain less moisture than other parts of the body, so they tend to dry out more quickly. You should use a balm on your lips. There is NOTHING better Than Cliniques Superbalm. They also make tinted ones to give you a subtle hint of color. These are superb and also available in my store. 3. Your Body

The drier your skin is the thicker the moisturizer you will need. You should use your moisturizer when you get out of the shower when skin is most ready to moisturize. Rub it all over and let it soak in. Heres another great tip: you will have to skin those long luxurious HOT showers in the winter, they suck all the moisture out of your skin and are worst in winter months. Also try to use a humidifier during the winter when you are around fireplaces, heaters and furnaces. 4. Your Hands and Feet

For your hands try to keep them moisturized throughout the day. Keep a great lotion in your desk or purse and moisturize often. Try to exfoliate your feet every few days if they are dry. Try Clinique exfoliating scrub. Moisturize your feet before you go to bed and wear socks if you want super soft feet.
