I have learned over the years of having children (including foster children) and grandchildren that finding just the right dvd for the moment is important. For example when my niece that is now 10 was younger she loved Barney so we watched alot of Barney now my 2 yr old granddaughter goes into Walmart with me and you best get her a Barney dvd or she will scream (she know right where they are also). The important thing is to make sure that you shop for the right movie. I myself love good dvds that are not western, fighting or war related. I love a good love story or one that makes me laugh and cry. The last one that I watched was Oliver's Story and it was good. When you start looking for dvds first look at the rating then at the back to tell you about the story as well as the leading role actor/actress. Any questions just ask a clerk they might be able to help. The hot selling kids movies right besides barney are the 5 lot dvds of Kidsongs made by kids for kids and are kid friendly they play over and over and over all day long they also have come out with kidsong dvds that cost more but are just as good - i have my 2 yr old watching these daily in place of a Barney.
