OK, DS and DS LITE both play the same games, howver, there are some key differences on which one you should get, depending on what type of gamer you are. The DS Original is better for people who:
- Like their GameBoy Advanced games, and don't want them sticking out of their DS LITE by 1 Cenimeter
- Already have a DS Original and don't feel like "burning holes in their wallets", spending extra money.
- Are saving up for a Next-Generation Console (like the Wii, XBOX 360, or PS3)
- Are looking to save money on ebay, and feel like saving 1/2 off of the purchase price
- Dislike "Push and hold" power switches and like the DS's "Power button" more
- Want a Silver, Red, Blue, Teal, or Pink
- a longer, fatter stylus
- better "pearlized" buttons,
- 2 more backlight settings,
- ways to save power and extend battery life
- don't really care about having your GameBoy Advanced games sticking out, don't have very many, or simply don't want to play them anymore
- Want a slightly smaller and lighter in weight device
- Keep accidently hitting the power button and turning the system off in the middle of the game
- Want the system White or Black
So, in short, most people would prefer a DS LITE, however, there are a select few who would get a better usage out of a regular DS. So, look at the Numbers above and make a decision.
