Just want to inform you before buying a Wego they can be very dangerous and most likely they will be banned.   Please realize when you hit the water at speeds close to or over 30 mph, you do not directly enter the water - you bounce on top of the water.

Even if you are following instructions a crosswind can take the wego and shoot it up to 60 feet in the air and 40 feet across the water.  The wego has caused serious injuries and deaths, please read  below from some quotes taken directly from an article in the Salt Lake Tribune and KFDM Channel 6 News in Beaumont, TX.

This is from the Salt Lake Tribune -  06/07/2006 12:20:56 AM MDT

"On Friday afternoon, a 29-year-old man broke his neck when he lost control of a Kite Tube and fell 35 to 40 feet while moving about 35 to 40 mph, according to a news release."

"The following afternoon, a 14-year-old girl lost consciousness when she struck the water after falling 10 to 15 feet while being towed at 20 to 25 mph, according to the release."

"On April 7, a man suffered a punctured lung caused by broken ribs."

"And on May 22, a man suffered chest and back injuries."

This is from KFDM Channel 6 News in Beaumont, TX on May, 3rd 2006.

"But as Texas Parks and Wildlife knows first hand, the thrill of flight can leave danger in its wake. On Sunday 33-year-old James Freeland of Orangefield died after falling off a kite tube near Stutes Island where the Neches River meets the Intracoastal Waterway."

"According to another game warden's preliminary report, Freeland was about 15 feet in the air on the tube. Several witnesses say the kite tube turned onto its side in the air and then fell to the water. Freeland was knocked off. His neck was injured, and he died at a hospital."

Just be safe and realize what you are purchasing is not a toy and can have serious consequences.  If you still want to buy one, do so by all means, but realize that you need to be EXTREMELY careful and I also worried that you might be purchasing an extremely expensive raft if they do get banned.

If you are craving the big air, then pick up wakeboarding and be SAFE.  Thanks
