When you buy or sell to someone, leave feedback that relates to the overall experience.  Don't just do whatever the other person does, such as leave a negative for a negative.  That is so childish!

As a seller, how quickly did they pay?  Did they contact you with payment intentions within a reasonable time, if they could not pay right away.  Yes, we would all like to get paid immediately (or I know I do!), but sometimes the buyer just has to wait a few days.  That is OK with me, as long as he sends me a message letting me know what to expect.  Did they contact you when the item was received?

I use to leave feedback as soon as the payment was made and the shipping label was printed.  However, I now realize that is not the best time for it. The transaction is NOT complete until you know your item has been delivered and the customer is satisfied (whether they just email or leave their feedback).  I take their feedback to mean, they are ok with what they got and their side of the transaction is completed.  Then, I leave feedback based on everything from start to finish.

If the customer is not happy for some reason, I try to work out the details so that they are happy.  It would never enter my mind to leave them a negative feedback, just because they were still unhappy and maybe would leave me one.  That is just petty!

If they left me a negative and I had honestly done everything I could to fix the matter, I would ask that it be withdrawn/retracted.  Most of the negatives are left during a heated discussion, when the two parties are bickering.  If you take a few minutes to think about the situation, you may realize that it was all so childish.

I wish people would try to do things right.  Everyone makes mistakes.  When listing, sometimes you get in such a frenzy that you might miss some small detail that might mean something more important to the other party.  Try to put yourself in their shoes.  How would you feel if the same thing happened to you?

Let's all try to make Ebay a nicer place to be.  It is such a good opportunity for everyone to have people to communicate with and socialize a little without leaving your seat.  I love it because I can check out the blogs anytime of day or night.

God bless everyone.  Maybe we can all find peace.  Wouldn't that be nice?
