At 1st glance- media mail may seem like the best way to have your items shipped!! DO NOT be fooled!! Media mail is considered 4th class by the US Postal Service. This is the same class as your JUNK mail!! While the post office states 2-9 days on delivery- it can actually take up to 3 WEEKS!! In most cases media mail is also NOT forwarded to a new address so if you have to change your mailing address it is likely you will never receive your item and it MAY be returned to the seller- or simply discarded in a post office dumpster with the rest of the junk mail!! Media mail items are also subject to random inspections by the post office!! If a seller ships you an item at the media mail rate which is NOT eligible for media mail (i.e. clothing, jewlery etc.) it will be returned to the seller for additional postage!!
