Don Drumm
Don Drumm is an accomplished, recognized, American artisan. A master craftsman with an imagination that just goes on and on. He is a third generation metalworker. He explores contemporary materials, machinery and state of the art technology in the production of his fine art. The materials mostly used by this master are; all-weathering steel, pewter, cement and cast aluminum, as an artistic medium.
Don's sense of serendipity is evident in many of his works. There is a wondrous selection of aluminum horses, holiday and religious themes. He has a way of stretching the abstract into flamboyant expressions. Sometimes the emphasis is on sunbursts or fanciful ceatures and mythological figures and objects. His smaller pieces range from jewelry to a line of cookware and presentation utensils.
Some of his accomplishments include a ten story, cut concrete mural on the Bowling Green State University Library. Other works are in private collections and public parks, learning institutions, museums and city skylines throughout the United States. Corporate commissions with installations of his works are on every world continent.
