SO CONGRATULATIONS You have a dollhouse, or roombox, or hat box ready to be decorated to look rich and classy, or at least nice looking, but your budget is low for buying dollhouse miniatures and furniture.   For your child's house or yours try plastic furniture. Plastic furniture you say? But some of it looks cheap and fake not realistic. Hold on I am not done yet, take a pair of scissors and some left over fabric pieces, or cut up a old top or skirt with holes or doesn't fit that is just sitting in your closet, or buy some cheap fabric and cover the plastic table and chairs with the fabric. There is some ebay stores that sell fabric swatches/samples here on ebay for a dollar or two with free shipping, plenty enough to cover a few pieces of dollhouse furniture.You can also cover couches and loveseats and beds with the fabric also, and no longer can you or anybody else tell it is plastic, and it looks great and becomes custom to your very own tastes.  Want to get really courageous? Take that ugly wood bed for the kids room that you don't like and repaint it any color with acrylic paint you buy for 50 cents to a dollar at a store. Then buy a whole bag of tiny rhinestones or fake crystals (they are cheaper) and glue them all over the headboad and footboard. Talk about serious added pizzazz!, your bed will look it came out of a castle that a princess slept in!  Also you can paint any wood dollhouse furniture or kitchen set with any color paint you heart desires. That is it for today's dollhouse decorating in the cheap.
