I dont care how expensive the flower bulbs, tulips,Iris, daffodils, dahlias, lilies, or other plant material you purchase, if you dont plant them in good dirt you are waisting your money!
Good dirt is so easy so get. A simple thing I have learned rather than taking all the soil samples to the county to have them analyzed is just to buy some good dirt and mix it in with the old.
Its no time at all and i'd rather be planting bulbs!
Then, and heres the secret... I always add plant food to the dirt! ( very inexpensive to do!)
We like and need to eat, so do our bulbs( also takes the stress off of the bulbs trying to leach from the soil... help them both out!
Provide good dirt and good food! And youll have awesome gardening success!
