PROBLEM: Engine Cranks Slowly  POSSIBLE CAUSE: bad batteries, bad cable connections, or bad starter

PROBLEM: Engine Cranks Normally, Wont Start POSSIBLE CAUSE: faulty glow plugs, faulty glow plug controller, no fuel in cylinders, no fuel in injector pump, plugged air filter, plugged fuel filter, plugged fuel tank filter, faulty fuel pump, fuel return system blocked, no voltage to fuel solenoid, incorrect contaminated fuel, incorrect Inj. pump timing, low compression, faulty injection pump, or fuel solenoid closed in RUN position.

PROBLEM: Engine starts wont idle POSSIBLE CAUSE: incorrect slow idle setting, plugged air filter, faulty fast idle solenoid, air in fuel system, fuel return system blocked, glow plug off too soon, incorrect Inj. pump timing, no fuel to injector pump, incorrect/contaminated fuel, low compression, faulty injection pump,

PROBLEM: Engine starts idle rough POSSIBLE CAUSE: incorrect slow idle setting, plugged air filter, fuel leak at injection line, fuel return system blocked, air in fuel system, incorrect/contaminated fuel, faulty injector/nozzle, low compression.

PROBLEM: engine smokes SEE MY OTHER REVIEW FOR CAUSES

PROBLEM: engine misfires above idle POSSIBLE CAUSE: plugged fuel filter, incorrect Inj. pump timing, incorrect/contaminated fuel.

PROBLEM: engine wont return to idle POSSIBLE CAUSE: incorrect fast idle setting, faulty injection pump, external linkage binding, air in fuel system.

PROBLEM; engine lacks power POSSIBLE CAUSE: restricted air intake, faulty EGR valve, restricted exhaust system, blocked fuel cap vent, restricted fuel supply from tank to injection pump, incorrect/contaminated fuel, faulty injector nozzle, low compression, or improper throttle linkage adjustment.

PROBLEM: cylinder knocking noise POSSIBLE CAUSE: injector nozzle stuck open, low injector nozzle pressure,or piston slap

PROBLEM: engine wont shut off POSSIBLE CAUSE: injector pump solenoid does not shut off fuel valve.
