DID's released US Army leggings in WWII are really good in details. The strings on the side are not just a "fake" one. They can be tightened to the condition you want, it's just like a real functioning leggings. But, beware to tighten the strings gradually from top to the end. Do not just pull the end of string, or you might break the very small parts of the leggings. IMHO, it's another unknown advantages of the products which some of the collectors missed especially the box collectors.
