One of the greatest aspects of EBAY is the availability of thousands of items that we never had access to before.  There is, however, certain drawbacks to this.  Along with this handy new way of buying and selling also comes another way for scam artists, liars, fakes, and other sorts of individuals who take advantage of our desire to gain actual autographs or mementos from our favorite stars and celebrities.  I cannot get over how many sellers  on EBAY have dozens of record albums all allegedely autographed in person by Elvis Presley.  Most people would be lucky to get one or two of these in a lifetime, yet some sellers have ten or twenty of these to sell every year to unsuspecting bidders and fans.  Most of these albums are all signed in the exact same spots on the record covers, same markers, and identical in every way.  Most of the autographs signed by Elvis were either signed on the run, while driving, in a hurry, or his men would pass items to him for him to sign.  He would never stand still and sign ten or twenty records for one person. These are the same sellers who block the bidders identities so people like me cannot warn the person of the scam. COA'S? Most of these sellers obtain a COA from an item they won, then just make copies of them and change the item name. I have a book that tells me where Elvis was almost every day of his life, and i check the facts in this book with the stories being peddled in these fake autograph descriptions.Numerous times i've found discrepancies, outright lies, and successfully warned the bidder. Now a lot of bidders identities are being kept private, and i sit back and watch helplessely as people shell out hundreds for these signatures-some even written by lefties! Anyway,i think EBAY should maybe stop letting sellers hide the identities of bidders  on autographed items. They will be helping honest sellers (such as myself) as well as bringing more integrity to their site.
