The Dell Latitude C Series is one of the most versatile and rugged laptops on the market/aftermarket. "Swappable" parts such as the CD, floppy, batteries, hard drives, etc are easily interchangable throughout the series and are readily available on ebay at decent prices. All models easily connect to a common docking station. Several issues typically arise: the latch that locks the display to the body is easily broken, especially on earlier models. Stress fractures sometimes occur near the hinges from improper lifting. Be aware that different AC adapters are recommended for different models.

All in all, a solid machine. I've owned mine (bought used on ebay) for over 4 years and have not had a problem.
