I have owned "several" mikes both stock and power and of all of them I love the D1046b if the mike is adjusted right all that is heard on the recieving end is good clear audio nothing else, I now use them in servicing my own equipment, the last time I counted I had in excess of 60 mikes both power and stock, this does not include the  7  D104 M6B I currently own one wich is a 5 wire the rest are 4 wire
