I have just looked at several listings for cut glass lead crystal and perhaps the meaning has changed over the years.  If not, the following applies:  Cut glass is not the same as pressed glass; an item cannot be both.  Cut glass lead crystal is cut by hand, is very sharp to the touch and has a long bell like ring when tapped.  Pressed glass has smooth patterns and has more of a dull thud when tapped.  Since the prices associated with the items I looked at were very low, I don't think there's a problem.  HOWEVER, when buying an expensive piece, BE SURE you can return it if it isn't VERY SHARP to the touch.....
