Sending a customized shipping notification to your buyers in a few keystrokes saves lots of time!
1. Copy the ebay item title you want to add to the message (including the space from the winning buyer notification subject line). It is important to get the space too, you will see why in a bit.
2. Subject will be: Good news eBay item #5947934662 Ann Taylor Button Up Blouse, Sz 12, Navy Blue NWT. Copy this information including the italic-bold section with space at the end by highlighting that text and using control + C.
3. Then select shipping notification from the drop down menu.
4. Your Subject will there is: Your eBay item has been shipped.
5. Now paste (control + V) the copied text and add it by pasting it (using Control + V) into the space before the letter "h" in the subject line.
6. Your customized message now is "Good news Your eBay item #5947934662 Ann Taylor Button Up Blouse, Sz 12, Navy Blue NWT has been shipped."
7. You just saved your customer time too because he/she can see the item was shipped without even having to open their email.
Since I often use USPS "Click and Ship," I have a standard canned message that I use in the "Click and Ship" Message too. I simply open the word file, change the date and save it. Then I copy the file, (control + C) and then revert to my click and ship page in PayPal. Here I paste the message (Control + V) it into each box where you are invited to post a message to the recipient.
Click and ship also automatically provides the buyer with tracking information (which is free to the seller). That way he or she is able to track the location of the package throughout it's journey by visiting USPS.com. This saves the questions of when their item will be shipped or will arrive.
Hope this helps and saves you some time -- I know I am on a mission to get more listed and shipped and spend less time doing it. If you have time savers to share please drop me a note...I am all ears!.....well since this is a blog, I guess it is all eyes!
Please drop by and visit my other guides, my auctions (Pepper120851) and my store (The Write Place). I try to share everything I've learned to save others the time it takes to learn all this stuff!
