Top Ten Reasons Not To Use A Chip Bag As Packaging.
1. Makes for bad customer referral.
2. Gets item greasy in transit.
3. Tape doesn`t always stick.
4. Post office will in most cases, but not all, refuse it.
5. Does not protect items very well.
6. Tears in transit.
7. Will not pass an insurance claim, due to improper packaging.
8. Attracts ants to buyers mail box.
9. Causes my dog to do tricks for no reason.
10. Makes my mail carrier hungry for chips, and she`s on a diet.
Now did I really have to give you a list, apparently yes, cause I have recieved a blouse in a greasy chip bag, pants in a previously used knee brace box, which tore in transit and sat at the post office for 2 weeks, and another top in a paper sack taped with masking tape written in crayon.
What it comes down to customer service and how you want your customers to respond. If you want them to purchase again, leave positive feedback, or add you to their favorite sellers list.
It is up to you, how you present your business, because your business is you. So pack accordingly, so your item makes it safely to its buyer, and you may just sell more to the same person. Remember if they are purchasing your items, they have similar taste and will come back to buy more, but if you slack on packaging, they may get the impression you don`t care about the customer and skip the second time around.
