Thanks for stopping by.

My ebay seller name is Mike_Leuszler and I'm a professional caricature artist. I do both party/event caricatures, where I quickly draw goofy pictures of people (or turn them into a 'toon, as I like to say).

Emmanual Lutheran Fun Day

I also do caricature commissions, where I take my time, creating a sweet piece of professional artwork, sometimes in color, that just about anyone would be delighted with (and would have a really hard time regifting). Today, I'm going to go through some of the questions I get when I list a caricature commission on ebay.

Sample Commission

When do I pay?

All commissions pay up front.

What kind of photos do you need?

You can email me jpg or png format photos. 72 dpi is fine, as I sometimes work off of my monitor. I prefer a nice picture of the subjects face from the front and a profile shot, both from at least the shoulders up. Recent photos are preferred.

Do you need anything else?

A short description of how you'd like to see the subject dressed and in what kind of pose or situation you'd like to see them would be peachy. Feel free to give me a paragraph about the person, if you'd like. You can talk about their personality, what they like, things they say, stuff like that.

Here's an example of an ebay commission. "Do my boss in an homage to Dr. Strangelove going after the competition."

How long does it take to do a caricature?

My turnaround from payment and pictures receipt to getting your item in the mail is three weeks. That means that after I receive payment and reference photos, the countdown begins and ends three weeks later. I actually try to shoot for one to two weeks, but if I have a lot of projects on the drawing board, or if real life decides to give me a hard time, I like to have that little buffer.

What happens if you take more than three weeks to finish a picture?

If something should occur that will put me over my deadline, I will contact the customer A.S.A.P. and let them know.

How can I get my picture sooner?

If you really need the picture sooner than in three weeks, I will charge a rush fee to move you up in line. The fee depends on the amount of rush needed, including additional postage if the project needs to be overnighted?

For the sake of brevity, I'll stop there.

Do you have a question for me? My seller name is Mike_Leuszler. You can contact me through the usual ebay communication channels.

Thanks for reading this guide. Please vote and check out my sales.
