I now am the proud owner of Aggressive Overlays. I have chosen overlays to be the topic of this guide. They are a great way to change the look of your car.  They can change the look of your lights so that they are tinted a darker shade, can add some attitude with some eyelids, or even accent a certain part of your lights. 

Now, I am sure your a saying, "What are overlays?" Well.........., overlays are made from a vinyl material with an adhesive backing. What is vinyl material? It is the same material that vinyl graphics are made from.  The the thickness of this material ranges from 2 mil. to 18 mil. The lower the number the thinner this material is. The greneral size that is most commonly sold is 3 mil.  This is the thickness we chose because it provides the best fit and finish over others. There are several lights on the car that you can change the look of. I will start with the front of the car. Headlights are a very good way to make you car look mean or look like it has an attitude. Youc an do thai by completely smoking out the whole headlight or adding an eyelid or some people may call it an eyebrow.  Many cars have separate sidemarkers on the side of the car. You can add a smoked overlay to this light to make it look much better.  It seems like this is the first light many people change the look of. There are a lot of sidemarker light overlays, one is the C6 Corvette front sidemarkers  and also the Infiniti G35 sidemarkers. the Corvette side markers are only full smoked but the G35 has many options. There is a 4 bar cutout that we sell in smoked and black. The black is interesting because it blocks the light so that only the 4 bars light up. This is only limited by peoples imagination and we can likely make any custom sidemarker you think of.

The Scion tC has Mirror light overlays and this is something that people really like to smoke out. It make a very big change of the look of the car with a very little overlay.

Taillights are probably the most popular lights to moddify.  They look realy good and make the most drastic change out of all the lights when you smoke them out.  Taillight overlays can smoke out the whole light for a nice clean dark appearance. The great thing about overlays is that they transfer the lights brightness very well. It is very hard to tell if the light level is effected at all by this dark layer of vinyl applied to the light. If you wanted to smoke out most of the light but still see the lights just as they are stock youcan have cutouts added to the lights. These cutouts can be benefical to the look you are going for. They can really accent circles cutout in the light, reverse lights or even a name you want cutout. Name are most commonly put on 3rd brake lights. We have the ability to do this upon request.

I hope that you now have a better understanding of where overlays can be applied. They really do have a nice finished look that people will turn their heads for.  The greatest part of overlays is that they can be purchased for a minimal amount of money.  Aftermarket lights can be very expensive but overlays can be applied to stock lights for the same or better effect your looking for, for much less money.
