Remy/Remi lace front Indian human hair wigs are the hottest new item out there. They come in silky texture, Yaki texture, colors like #1B, #613, #2 and many others. The thing is, they aren't new at all. They were a wonderful secret of celebrities and people working in the hair industry. This is the type of wig you see on celebrities, musicians and the top runway models. Everyone from Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Tyra Banks and Paris Hilton are wearing these pieces. The celebrities have known this secret for years and we've seen how well it works for them- now it's your turn!

Ordering a custom wig is a major process. It is confusing, wonderful, personal, frustrating and exciting all at the same time. A lot of the individual aspects of these pieces are foreign to a first time buyer. We have been in the industry for 19 years selling these custom pieces, so we know how difficult this can be for an inexperienced client. We hope this guide will make it easier for you through this process. If you have any other questions or would like to view our guides on these and other pieces, please check out Not Just Wigs Storefront!

Curl and Wave  Patterns in a Remy Lace Wig

When ordering a custom hairpiece, sometimes the company wants your curl type in a measured size. Curl size is expressed in millimeters (1 mm = 0.04 inch). The higher the curl size in millimeters the straighter the hair. The very slightest wave, called "Body Wave" is barely detectable in the hairpiece. You can only see very large, slight waves. It seems to help your hair remember the way you comb it. When you comb it wet, and then let it dry in your own style, the body wave seems to keep it set better.

  • Body Wave
  • Slight Wave          30 mm - 26 mm
  • Medium Wave      25 mm - 20 mm
  • Tight Wave           20 mm - 16 mm
  • Medium Curl        15 mm - 11 mm
  • Tight Curl             10 mm - 06 mm
  • Afro Curl              05 mm - 02 mm

This is of course and average that we have seen. Please check with your supplier before purchase to confirm their measurements are equivalent. We hope this has helped you. If you need anything else, check out Not Just Wigs Storefront!
