If you are looking into Crossbow hunting be sure to buy or atleast look into Excalibur Crossbows from Canada.  fast easy to use, and virtually no learning curve to oevercome.  My second bolt went through my first at 25 yards right out of the box.  This is a recurve crossbow which reduces or eliminates the timing and tuning issues of compound crossbows.  Very easy to travel with.  I preffer a Holosight to the scopes though.  I have taken Bison, Bear, and many African game with cross bow.  I use Muzzy 100 grain 3 blade broad heads with Gold tip Carbon bolts.  324 ft/second at 1 yard from the bow, and at 50 yards the bolt is still traveling close to 290 ft/sec and delivering 79 foot punds on energy.
