Oh, Ebay is soooo much fun!! And very dangerous for sellers like me! I collect various Cross Stitch Kits, Samplers, and Books, and the easiest targets for us shopaholics is found in the Crafts section. I think HAVING the items to do helps kick in my creative spirit. Ever thought "I want to do something new" and then took 5 hours just to assemble the project?? OR...worse yet...bought something on Ebay and wish it was there NOW?? I have a suggestion. DONT SHOP WHEN YOU ARE frustrated!! Go through your cross stitch craft stash, and get it organized first. I went to an office supply store and asked if they had any heavy duty boxes left over from paper deliveries..and they gave me a bunch!! They all came with lids, and had a place for lables. I then put on a pot of coffee, dragged out my favorite Big Girl toys, and started to play! I took each project I wanted to do, assembled all the supplies for each one, and put them in a BIG gallon size zip lock bag. I also made a sticky note for the supplies I needed and were missing, made lables for each box of kits ready to go, and they stacked nice and neat in my crafting office. THAT WAS WHEN I WENT SHOPPING!! After Holidays sales are Great for finding the missing pieces. And when you know what you already have, you can get what you need or WANT. AND>>>>>make sure you buy from sellers with a great reputation for fast delivery. I run to the mailbox everyday hoping my new crafts are here for me to do. And I admit, it gets very sad, and then mad around here if my stuff doesnt show up right away. Being a seller now, I have learned that the post office is the biggest pain, not the sellers. Request delivery confirmation if you are a buyer so the seller can tell you it's in transit. That sure helps alleviate the painful wait. For sellers>>> Ship asap and use good pictures so we can see the addition to our collections.
Best of all, HAVE FUN in Ebay!! I have made a LOT of new friends in here and plan on visiting several in Feb. We ALL like to sit and dream about new ideas and things to do with our crafts. Sometimes I think that is the most fun.....trading books or supplies, and showing off our lastest creations!
Gotta go.....I bought some new books to play with! Hugs to all! Lynnie :-)
