I bought a pair of crocs "Beach" style at--where else?--the beach. I didn't know there were different styles when I bought them. I tried them on because they are so popular and I was curious as to why. I was sold on them the second I put them on. I bought them and have worn them almost every day for two months now. I have been looking for a pair in navy because they'll go with more outfits than the turquoise ones I bought at the beach, and I discovered that the stores near me sell a different version--the "Cayman". The Cayman is a slimmer fit and comes in exact sizes, rather than S, M, L and XL. I knew something was different when I put these on, because on me they are tighter and even seem stiffer. They are still comfortable, but compared to my "Beach" ones they seem less squishy and the bumps in the heel seem more pronounced. In short, to me, they aren't as wonderful as the "Beach" style. The "Cayman" version sold in the stores near me say "Made in China" on the bottom, and my "Beach" ones say "Made in Canada". You won't notice any difference in the two when you see them, but if you examine them closely, the "Beach" style has a scalloped band of decorative bumps around the top opening, while the "Cayman" version has a straight band of bumps. Of course, it's a matter of personal preference, but I like the "Beach". By the way, you can't trust the description in the auction listing. Just because it says "Beach" doesn't mean the "Beach" version. I have seen "Caymans" described as "Beach". I think some sellers don't realize "Beach" means a style, not just a reference to a shoe you'd wear at the beach.
