I. Godinger and Co.I found my first piece of I.Godinger and Co dinnerware during a shopping expedition, quite by accident. It was a small leaf shapped dish with a butterfly and leaf(Jardin). I purchased several and used them with a different table setting as lemon dishes for iced tea. I began to look everywhere for additional pieces, without any luck. Then one day I found Primavea pattern with the same butterfly. After that I becme serious about I. Godinger and Co. dinnerware. I have spent hours, days searching websites, links and other resources for information on Patterns, I. Godinger or anything related. I still don't know much more. I learned the Home Essentials Co. has certain patterns designed for them; but have not found how they distribute, where I can purchase/order a certain piece- except all paths lead to eBay for variety, There are several more lovely patterns, all seem very popular. Yorkshire, Butterfly Garden, Rosebud, Butterflies, Morning Glory, Creamwear, Flea Market collection, Pearl, in various colors, Provincial, and even more.  I am still searching for new or other patterns. These various patterns makes an attractive casual table. Many patterns will mix well with my finest china: either because the colors match or pattern accent other patterns. I find that Morning Glory mixes very well with certain Dresden Patterns. If china is one of your "loves" you can find many older fine china patterns that these patterns are very similar in design. Look at Haviland, Herend, Royal Dalton and many other china companies' older patterns. Godinger is made in China and that makes me think I have found a way to own many patterns of Godinger casual patterns that create a look of some of the fiinest china at a fraction of the cost. Whether I am mixing and matching with my best or simply using it alone, it certainly brightens any table and creates a pleasant atmosphere for a meal. You can't go wrong with these Godinger dinnerware patterns and I enjoy giving an interesting piece as a gift.  I enjoy shoping on eBay for these treasures and alway find something new to add to my collections. I hope many of you will do the same.
