When creating a spiritual bracelet to express your faith and devotion you must have a passion for your faith like any theme charm bracelet, there is a message you want to convey, it may be nursing, musical and in my case Catholic.
I first start with the main medal, relic or cameo that will be the main emphasis of the bracelet. I then focus on the came, per say, and I gather the beads that will go with the color of the cameo, most of the time you will be amazed how everything comes together once you are making it for love and devotion, how the beads and colors just come together.
Gather the medals that will be added to the bracelet. I then assemble the first eight sets of beads without the medals leaving some empty links in between. After you add the main medal or cameo on the center of chain, start adding the eight assembled beads, four on each side of the cameo.
I then add a medal to a single bead and add it in between the other beads already added to the bracelet. Once this part is assembled. I put together another set of six more beads with other embelishments, inserted to a pin and using bead caps and add it in between the empty links of the bracelet to make a bracelet look fuller.
You can add more embelishments if you desire like vintage buttons, charms. Sometimes I use orphan vintage earrings as charms or convert anything that I like into a charm by either drilling a hole or gluing it to a brass embelishment.
This is an example of one of my creations. On this bracelet I decided not to make it fuller to show the beautiful chain. I used a vintage copper chain and vintage and new medals.
