Alot of people might be aware that Acer does not provide recovery media with their computers. This is true since Acer is maximizing profit by not sending the Media it cost money as everyone knows' this reason keeps Acer's computer's ahead in price since they are cheaper. However Acer does not screw you over by doing so. It provides you the ability of creating the recovery media yourself. If you have an Acer system recent from 3 years back chances are that your computer has a hidden partition you did not know about maybe you did but what are the purpose of this hidden Space. Well in this hidden space resides what alot of us know as an ISO an image of the hard drive AKA "Gost Image" this is where there is an entire snapshot of everything that came preloaded with your system. Ok to the point.
To create recovery media this are the steps to follow while in the Operating system:
1. Pres the keys<alt> + <F10> Simultaneously once.
2. You'll see a menu come up is called the eRecovery
3. If it's the first time you are running the application (Units under a Year old) it will ask you to create a password. so just create it!
4. Once you've created the password it will give you an option at the very bottom of the screen that states "Burn Disk"
5. Select Create recovery disk and it will tell you how many CD's or DVD's you'll need
6 You are done
