Here is a Great Tip for all Motorola Q and SmartPhone users, as well as other cellphone users who would like to have different types of UNIQUE WallPaper designs on your phone. Maybe something other than what everyone else has, or what comes pre-installed on your phone, and you probably dont care to pay for a more personalized WallPaper Design that you see everywhere for like 99 Cents-$1.99 each!! MAKE YOUR OWN!

ITS VERY SIMPLE TO CREATE YOUR OWN!!! You can make it as simple as you want, or as complex as you want, just by using your cellphones digital camera!!

CREATE A CUSTOM WALLPAPER IN SECONDS!!

Here are a few tips:

Using your cellphones camera option, you can take close up pictures of different types of textured materials or even colored materials, to create such backgrounds as: Snakeskin, Seashells, Lace, Solid Colors, Grills, Abstract Designs, Modern Designs, Colorful Designs, and MUCH MUCH MORE!!!

You can use use your camera to focus in on just about ANYTHING, and move the camera around(if in "motion-mode") until you get a design you like, and snap the picture! By "motion-mode", we are referring to where most digital cameras allow you to see the image moving in the lens until you have the desired shot.

For an even more added effect, you can use the phones "flash" option to change the color, design, and look of just about aything!!! For example, take a piece of baby blue posterboard. Without the flash on, you can take a close up shot to create a solid baby blue background. You can create a difference in the color you desire simply by moving closer or farther from the posterboard before capturing the picture. NOW, as an added effect, with the same baby blue posterboard, use your phones flash option. Move closer or farther from the posterboard to place the glare in the right spot for a "cool shot"! Dont be afraid to change the angle of the phone while capturing a great shot!! With just a piece of simple baby blue posterboard, we were able to capture about 15 "completely different" wallpapers for our phone, ranging from a simple solid baby blue background, to an awesome glare that created an astonishing skyline-type image, to a white-to-blue "blast" look.

You can use any material or object!! We even used a closeup of our leather cowboy boots to create a Snakeskin WallPaper for our phone. Maybe you prefer a more modern look, like the closeup of the plastic or metal cover on a box fan, at a slight angle. This creates a somewhat Architectural look, when taken at the right angle and distance. Move the camera around, GET CREATIVE!! How about getting creative and laying on your stomach on the beach, and taking a close up of a seashell against the sand?? Or maybe standing over a small pile of seashells to create an awesome and unique wallpaper?? Maybe use a marbled countertop for that unique marbled look??

GET CREATIVE!! You've seen what photographers can do with pictures in books/magazines, ect, and with simple items such as nature, buildings, cars, etc. YOU CAN EASILY DO THE SAME!! Just keep moving the camera around until you get a design you like.

Say you're a Ford Fan, well you could get a closeup shot of the Blue Oval against your cherry red Ford. Chevy fans get a closeup, angled snapshot of the bowtie on the billet grill of your truck.

Just about any interests you may have, you should be able to take a picture of something that best suits you. Like we mentioned earlier, you can also change the image quite a bit just by how you focus your camera, your distance, the many different angles, and using the flash mode at times!

Say you're a Nike or LUGZ fan, take a real close shot of the logo/name on your shoebox(or maybe even on the side of your shoe). If you take a picture directly facing towards it, you can change the look by changing the angle of your camera phone(as mentioned above), and/or by using the flash. By doing this, you can even create a design you didnt think was possible!! Here's another example: we turned on our camera with flash, and decided to get a closeup view of our bright orange LUGZ shoebox. We we're just hoping to capture the LUGZ logo, but after a minute of "getting creative", we hit the letter G in LUGZ just right with the flash and a hard left angle, and created an awesome looking graffiti-type G that looks like blazing chrome(from the flash) with the bright orange background. Its an awesome design, and you would have never guessed that it was from the side of our shoebox!! Do you like the image of money? How about taking a closeup of a twenty dollar bill, at a hard left angle? PRESTO! Now you have genuine "mo' money" wallpaper on your phone, created exclusively by YOU!!

YOU CAN EVEN EASILY CREATE MANY GREAT EFFECTS/PICTURES for all of your Friends. The possibilities again, are LIMITLESS!! Remember, just GET CREATIVE and HAVE FUN!!!

We have many years of Graphic Art, Custom Paint, and Design experience, so this isnt anything new for us. However, YOU can EASILY create some awesome designs, backgrounds/wallpapers yourself, within seconds and with absolutely NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!! Just turn your cameraphone on to where the object in the screen moves until you get the image you want. If you take "still-shots" (without using the motion feature), you probably wont get the desired image/designs you are looking for. Make sure the phone is in the mode in which it appears like it is in camcorder "action" mode. This way you're able to snap the shot when you get that perfect, unique image created, and the lighting is as desired!! Most digital phones nowadays automatically have the camera set to the image on your screen to be in motion until you snap your picture.

After you have taken the picture, or maybe MANY pictures(LOL!), you should be able to edit them accordingly in your phones camera mode, if desired. We have found it easiest to play around and snap an awesome picture right off the bat, and there being no need to edit the picture.

With the Motorola Q phones, to set a picture as your Home Screen(aka wallpaper, background), go to the START Menu in Windows, scroll down to SETTINGS, and then click on HOME SCREEN. Once you're in the Home Screen option, scroll down to Background Image, and use the left-right arrows to find the picture you choose to use as your CUSTOM WALLPAPER! CLICK the name of the picture you have chosen, and PRESTO! Your phone is now personalized to your interests! Then you can change the Color Scheme to match your desired image. The possibilities are LIMITLESS!! Just play around with your camera and see what other types of strange, unique, and exciting designs/pictures you can create!!
