Learning how to stamp using a white crayon?
Yes, it's true!!! You can create something beautiful and unique just by using a white crayon! In this guide I hope to show you this technique and hopefully get you inspired to try for yourself.
-
First, stamp your desired stamp (one that you color in) into your favorite color PERMANENT ink. For my examples, I've just used black.
-
Next, stamp your inked image unto white glossy cardstock. Give plenty of time for it to dry before moving onto the next step.
-
Then, with your white crayon color the portions you want to remain white around the image or inside the image. It's up to you.
-
Now, you'll want to color in your image using markers or other such ink, making sure it's water-based.
-
Then, take a tissue and gently dab on areas where you colored with your crayon. Make sure to dab straight down and then straight up to avoid smearing. This is a very IMPORTANT step. Make sure you're very careful because if you smear the image, you've ruined the effect.
-
Finally, take your image and apply it to a card and add any embellishments you wish!
In these examples, due to the smallness of the picture, it's hard to see the effect. Picture #1 shows it best here. If you'd like to see some bigger pictures, please feel free to contact me so I can email them to you. Thanks for looking.
