Cranium Conga & Cranium Turbo Edition
Its manufacturer says the award-winning Cranium game ("the game for the whole brain") is the fastest selling independent board game in history. The key to its success almost undoubtedly lies in the fact that it is just plain fun to get a bunch of friends together and do the silly activities. Now Cranium, Inc. has upped the ante a bit by releasing a new deluxe version of the Cranium board game--Cranium Turbo Edition.
Meant for teens and adults, Cranium Turbo Edition has a thousand new cards, six new activities, an electronic timer to juice things up, and fast-paced Turbo Rally Rounds. Among the new activities are using your friends as puppets so that other players will guess a clue and identifying objects shown in extreme close-up. The Turbo Edition also comes with a Bonus Party Pack with custom cards for different party themes like Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, and Family Get-Together.
Another new game from Cranium, Inc. is Conga. This is a family fun game where kids and adults can guess facts about each other. Players act out, sculpt, draw, and perform other activities to guess what other players are thinking.
For example, players may try to get other family members to guess what their nicknames should be or what kind of jobs they'd like to have, or what objects lurk beneath their beds. This could be a great game to play with several generations--i.e., kids can learn interesting information about their grandparents that they might otherwise never know. Designed for three to six players, the game is meant to be quick enough to keep young ones entertained; a typical game should last about half an hour.
