Hands on Fun!

What you will need:

• One old pair of canvas tennis shoes
• Permanent acrylic fabric paints
• Fabric paintbrushes
• Ribbon for laces

Instructions

Remove your shoe laces set aside for now. Using a led pencil draw the patterns you desire onto the shoes. Paint the main sections of the shoes in the desired colors, letting on section dry before painting an adjacent section. After the paint dries, you can add hearts swirls, dots, sport icons and other accents you want. Let the paint dry overnight is best. Cut ribbon or cord the same length as the shoelaces. Lace the shoes with th ribbon or cord and that's it!

Idea: You can use a variety of designs example for boys; Trace dinosaurs images onto the sneakers than paint as described above or add sports icons such as baseball bats, footballs, trucks, cars with a race track theme or those itchy little bugs boys love so much. The possibilities are only limited to your imagination.
