Dual Core and Quad Core cpu's do not run twice or four times as fast.
A 3.0 Ghz Dual (3.0x3.0) core does not run at 6.0 as well with the Quad core.
Two dual cpu's do not run twice as fast. Two 2.4mhz Zeon\AMD or Intel Cpu's dont run at 4.8mhz
they still run at 2.4mhz.
People on Ebay are advertising 8.0 Ghz Cpu\motherboard Combo's that they say run at 8.0 Ghz.
There is no such cpu as an 8.0 ghz cpu.
Dont buy in to this. This is a 3.0Ghz Pentium D processor that is overclocked to 4.0 ghz. The
seller then advertises that they overclock each core to run at 4.0 ghz times two cores (4.0x4.0) to run at 8.0 Ghz.
This is actually 3.0 Ghz cpu's overclocked by 1000 mhz or one ghz to equal 4.0 ghz times two cores to equal 8.0 ghz. This all
sounds good but in reality, the consumer is being fooled. Overclocking hardware to this extreme is not a in your best interest. The
life of the hardware is decreased dramatically and in the end you will be paying more for a new board and processor because the manufacturer
doesnt support hardware that has been overclocked and the warranties are void.
