I'm getting back into using my coupons and with the savings add money to my savings account. I've a tip for filing all your coupons and saving time shopping. Yes it can be done!
1. File coupons in a box with secure lid.
2. All coupons that have expiration dates file by the month. That way you're not caught trying to use an expired coupon. I use plain index cards and write months on top where you can easily view.
3. Coupons that had "no expiration date" I file by the item, again I use index cards and made up my own food indexes. You can add other store coupons as well.
4. If you mainly shop at one store that doubles your coupons write down the store layout, what items are down each aisle. This will save time from back tracking.
5. Something I learned from my sister is to make a Pantry Inventory including food in freezer. Set up on your computer or use a spiral notebook; and make up a weekly menu. You can always swap dates of making a meal, but it's so nice to go to your pantry and have everything needed!
