Don't be deceived by the cheap counterfeit ties being sold on Ebay as Versace. According to a recent study at least 75% of the ties listed as Versace on Ebay are Asian counterfeits from UK, Canada or Hong Kong, many made with child labor. According to the NY Attorney General much of the profits go to support global terrorism.

How Can You Tell The Difference?

• Versace has never made a Blue Label tie-COUNTERFEIT!
• The style shown below is often sold in yellow, blue or black. They are all counterfeit made of a "silk-like polyester," not even true Italian silk.

• The cross stitching on the back of the small end of the blade on the authentic ties is a minimum of 3/4 of an inch from the A of the lining. With the counterfeit ties the cross stitching is close to the top of the lining.

• Next, the authentic ties have either GIANNI VERSACE written in the lining of the wide blade or Medusa heads. The Medusa has ribbons under the chin that flow UPWARD toward the chin in the middle and then back down. The counterfeit Medusa has ribbons that are either straight across or slanted in one direction or the other, but do not flow UPWARD in the middle. The Medusa is always the same, not some of the hideous creatures on the labels of some of these knockoffs.
• Finally, any seller who doesn't offer to show these marks of distinction should be avoided, as they most likely have something to hide.
