Hey, now here's a deal. This fellow is offering 100 troy ounce bars of copper for only $325. Since when did copper start selling by the troy ounce. Precious metals are sold by the troy ounce. Problem is the last time I checked copper was selling at roughly 21 cents an ounce. Hardly a precious metal. Making a 100 ounce bar worth about three dollars at the most. Not saying the scrap dealer will give you that much. Fact is, a hundred ounce bar, even if we are talking 31.1 gram ounces, is still barely worth three bucks. I am sure there are much more profitable ways to invest in copper.
