Here are a few key things in to consider when purchasing cookware:

How much do I want to pay? Sometimes budget is the most important thing to consider. Some customers focus on their own loyalty to a brand or functionality without worrying about a tight budget.

What kind of cleaning and care options do I prefer? You should consider whether you want dishwasher-safe products that will withstand frequent use, as opposed to delicate dishes that require hand washing. Keep in mind that some products require additional upkeep such as polishing a copper saute pan or seasoning a cast-iron skillet.

What are my cooking habits? How often you cook can play a big factor in what pieces you will need to add to your cookware/bakeware selection. Aluminum cookware sets are durable and long lasting for those cooks who must rely on their cookware on a daily basis for years. Stainless steel is also a great option for heavy duty cooking needs.

What about my cooking surface? Whether your method of cooking is gas, electric, ceramic, halogen or induction, we want you to be able to utilize your own materials to their fullest potential. Gas surface cooking provides for quick heating and cooling and works well with all many products. Using an electric cooktop provides for low, even heat. Ceramic stovetops are popularly used with electric energy sources and are easy to clean. Induction cooktops incorporate a technology utilizing a magnetic field instead of direct heat. Halogen is the newest wave in cooking surfaces that makes efficient use of vaccum-sealed quartz glass filled with halogen gas for upward heating instead of sideways heating.

What am I going to cook? Quite possibly the most important factor to take into account when choosing the appropriate cookware is the consideration of what you are actually going to be preparing. In the mood for an exotic stir-fry woks tonight? Or how about just the perfect grilled cheese?

How many can I cook for? We know that the art of cooking and the anxiously awaited enjoyment of food is something best done with other people--especially loved ones. Casseroles are a great way to fill several stomachs with little work. Having a gathering? Try one of our fondue sets to liven up your evening. Make delicate crepes for your special someone or a hearty roast for your family to enjoy.
