Have you ever bought something from a company and it was beautifully packaged? Received something from a consultant that look like she put a lot of thought into it?

Presentation is everything when it comes to selling! It is nice to receive what you order, but twice as nice to receive it beautifully packaged!

Try my following suggestions for gaining a loyal following (and maybe some new friends along the way!).

For Catalog and Online Orders:

• Small Items - Place in a cellophane bag and secure with a small string of wraphia or curling ribbon! Or even try a small organza bag!
• Medium Items - If you can fit it in the medium or large cellophane bag, then this is a cute inexpensive way to present a beautiful item! Otherwise, place the item in a handled shopping bag and tie a little bow on the base of one of the handles!
• Large Items - Place inside the appropriate sized shopping bag and tie a cute bow on the base of one of the handles! Or use a Cellophane (cello) Roll, place the item in the center of the cut sheet and putt the corners up to "wisp" up at the top. Secure with a cut ribbon or bow!

For Home Show Hostess Thank You Gifts:

• Cute Printed Boxes - Place a small amount of tissue paper or filler paper in the bottom of the box and place the item on top. Tie a cute bow, in coordinating colors to the top of the box!
• Organza Bags - These come in an array of sizes and colors and make a beautiful inexpensive wrap for your Hostess Gifts!
• Cellophane (Cello) Bags - These come in 3 sizes and are great for a quick inexpensive wrap! Tie with wraphia or curling ribbon and they make a BEAUTIFUL presented gift!

Customers at a party that see you give a beautiful present to your hostess, will book a show to get a beautifully wrapped gift as well!

There are a large amount of things that you can do to your products to make them more appealing! And it is proven, presentation is everything to the customer! Recently I was at a craft/vendor fair, I had two friends of mine that sell for the same company set up two seperate tables on opposite sides of the park. Consultant #1 was just presenting her product. Consultant #2 presented her demo product, and then put beautifully wrapped product behind each. Both Consultants had a lot of people at their tables. Customers were coming up to Consultant #2 table and asking if the cost was higher for the beautifully wrapped items, and she said "No, this is how I present all my products to my customers". The outcome of the day was as follows:

• Consultant #1 - $271.00 in sales, 3 home show leads, 4 catalog show leads
• Consultant #2 - $644.00 in sales, 8 home show leads, 5 catalog show leads

So, as you can see.. presentation is everything!

Remember, your company may be able to supply you with company labeled bags, but it may be just as inexpensive to buy a cuter Shopping or Merchandise bag that makes YOU different from the rest!
